We already mentioned in a previous post how Ibiza is made up of a myriad faces, but to get to know it deeply is not an easy task. Ibiza Town is the capital city of the island of Ibiza and it also contains dozens of beautiful unique neighbourhoods. But there is one that is quite special for both locals and visitors. It is the neighbourhood of Figueretas.<\/p>\n
This area is a caleydoscope of residents and visitors and also, one of the most multicultural places of Ibiza town. Figueretes is filled with Italian, Asian, Mediterranean and Arabic restaurants and all sorts of shops and is busy all year round.<\/p>\n
However, its most beautiful and cherished featured is its boardwalk. With a lively, familiar and laid-back atmosphere all year round locals come here in the summer to get a quick dip in the sea as its really close to Ibiza\u2019s city centre. In fact, the Figueretes beach is one of the only two urban beaches in Vila (as Ibiza town is known in catalan).\u00a0 This unbeatable seashore location is perfect for families, couples and groups of friends.<\/p>\n
Its Neighbours Association throws one of the most acclaimed popular festivities in Mid August. In fact, their fireworks display August 15h is when thousands of residents and visitors get together along the boardwalk and on the sand to witness this show where dozens of coloured figures emerge from the sea and burst into a beautiful display in the sky. How can you not fall in love with this area if you witness this while you are having a candle-lit dinner by the sea watching fireworks?<\/p>\n
