\nAs the rules of play have changed in this so-called \u201cnew normality\u201d, today we explain how to travel from Ibiza to Formentera including boat booking, health monitoring systems, car entry, etc., so that you can make room on your trip for our sister island of the Pitiusas. Transport. How to get to Formentera?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

There are two ship companies that travel to Formentera in 2020: Transmapi<\/a> and Balearia<\/a>. The first company offers a wide range of times from 7:30am to 8:30pm, and there are two types of boats: a passenger only boat\u2014called Fast Ferry\u2014and one that carries vehicles too\u2014Fast Car Ferry. The journey barely takes 30 minutes… you\u2019ll be there in a blink of an eye!<\/p>\n

On the other hands, Balearia sails its route from 7 in the morning to 9 at night. All Balearia boats have a hold for vehicle transport, depending on the size. It\u2019s best to check their websites to see which boat best meets your needs. Don\u2019t forget: the Nixe boat takes 30 minutes to arrive at the island, and the Posidonia takes an hour to get to land.<\/p>\n

Our advice? It\u2019s best to book your tickets online. With the new safety measures in places, you\u2019ll save yourself from unnecessary queues and you can embark without having to call into the offices.<\/p>\n

\"Travel<\/p>\n

What new safety measures are in place for travelling to Formentera?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

You must wear a mask during the whole crossing and keep a safe distance while embarking and disembarking, following the instructions of the staff on board. You can also use the online sales and check-in systems of both companies to avoid the crowds and have all the documentation on your mobile phone. For the time being, you do not have to have your temperature taken or undergo the tests that significantly delayed boat departures… Equally, please remember that its your responsibility to travel in compliance of the rules and, above all, using common sense.<\/p>\n
