So, the closing parties are drawing to close and the tourism of the island has begun to decrease. Yet, October still remains one of the most beautiful times of the year in Ibiza. The weather is glorious, though the temperature drops to the lower end of the 20\u00b4s, the sun still shines on the white island.<\/strong> The closing of the main clubs on the island marks the start of a more tranquil Ibiza which has a vast range of activities and events on offer. So let\u00b4s discover what\u00b4s going on this month, shall we?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ibiza Spirit Festival at Atzaro<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

If you\u00b4ve never visited Atzaro<\/strong>, this one\u00b4s a must. Atzaro<\/strong> is located in the heart of Ibiza\u00b4s countryside, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and natural scenery. Ibiza Light Festival<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The brightest event of the year, literally! <\/strong>An event where tradition meets modernity. The old town of Ibiza and port will be illuminated on the 12th<\/sup> and 13th<\/sup> of October<\/strong> by the Ibiza Light Festival.<\/strong> The most emblematic areas of Ibiza town will be transformed into a visual and auditory oasis.<\/p>\n

This event is designed to suit all audiences and create an unforgettable memory in the mind of each individual. An appreciation of visual art through the form of light<\/strong>– be it video, sculpture, graphic projections. There\u00b4s bound to be a vast array of different visual attractions. The crowd will be part of the installments, with many of the artworks being interactive.<\/p>\n

For two nights only, Ibiza will transform in a way you\u00b4ve never seen it before.\u00a0 Follow the light, you never know what you can find!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ibiza and Formentera Triathlon\u2019s<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Seeking a more active October? <\/strong>The triathlon\u2019s<\/strong> of Ibiza and Formentera might just be what you\u00b4re looking for. The triathlon consists of three events: swimming, cycling and long-distance running. <\/strong><\/p>\n

In both locations there is an option for the length of the route Formentera offers the options of: Olympic (1,500m swim, 40km cycle and 10km run), Sprint (750m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run) and relay (same distances as Olympic & Sprint) and Ibiza: three different lengths of 10, 21 or 42 kilometers of authentic trail.<\/p>\n

The first one will be held in Formentera on the 6th<\/sup> of October then in Ibiza on the 28th<\/sup> of October. Ready, set, go!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ibiza Japan Week<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Looking for culture?<\/strong> Why not attend an event during Japan week?<\/strong> From the 22nd<\/sup> of October until the 26th<\/sup> <\/strong>there will be a range of events in the afternoons at C19 Ibiza.<\/strong> These events are designed to embrace and appreciate Japanese traditions. A variety of workshops will be on offer, ranging from Sumi-e painting,\u00a0Koboshi dolls, Gyotaku, storytelling\u00a0with Kamishibai and children’s activities<\/strong>. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Try something new!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Halloween <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Of course, this one couldn\u00b4t be kept off the list. Although we said the parties are over, that\u00b4s not entirely true-it is Ibiza after all! Halloween will be a \u00b4must<\/em>\u00b4<\/strong> date on the party calendar. Though there are announcements yet to be made about where parties will be hosted, Pikes<\/strong> have already launched their promotion and Heart<\/strong> is likely to host an event (as it has done in previous years). Keep a lookout for upcoming news.<\/strong><\/p>\n
